Description
L'horloge est une sculpture en bronze conçue par Salvador Dali d'après un dessin daté de 1934, "la prémonition des tiroirs".
Réalisé par le sculpteur Onelio Vignando, le bronze a été fondu par la maison Valsuani, à Paris. L'œuvre a été éditée en huit exemplaires, auxquels s'ajoutent quatre épreuves d'artistes, par la galerie André-François Petit (Paris). Un modèle spécial de montre, munie d'un mouvement électronique à diapason, a été construit par la maison Omega afin d'être inséré dans la sculpture. Notons que le haricot qui la surmonte se dévisse pour permettre de l'enlever.
Die Uhr ist eine Skulptur aus hellgrün patinierter Bronze, die Salvador Dali nach einer Zeichnung von 1934, "La prémonition des tiroirs", entwarf. Die von dem Bildhauer Onelio Vignando angefertigte Skulptur wurde bei Valsuani in Paris gegossen. Das Werk wurde von der Galerie André-François Petit (Paris) in acht Exemplaren aufelegt, dazu kommen vier Künstlerexemplare. Die eigentliche Uhr ist eine von Omgea zum Einbau in die Skulptur gebaute Sonderanfertigung mit elektronischem Stimmgabelwerk. Die an der Spitze der Skultur angrebrachte Bohne lässt sich zur Werkentnahme abschrauben.
A sculpture in light-green patinated bronze, this Salvador Dali clock was based on the artist's 1934 drawing "The Premonition of Drawers". Sculpted by Onello Vigando, the bronze was cast by Valsuani in Paris. There were eight copies made beside the four artist's proofs done by the André-François Petit Gallery in Paris. A special Watch model with an electronic tuning fork movement was made by Omega to be fitted in the sculpture. The bean on top ca be unscrewed to remove the Watch.
